Interlibrary Loan
There are three great ways to access materials beyond our local collection: EZBorrow, Traditional ILL, and Reciprocal Borrowing. Check the status of your requests, retrieve articles, and renew loans through our user portal.
EZBorrow
EZBorrow is a FAST interlibrary lending solution that lets students, faculty & staff affiliated with participating institutions to request, and obtain physical library resources (e.g. books, media), from a vast network of colleges & universities.
Traditional ILL
Request a book / media, article or book chapter from another library, or from the University Libraries; print collections (see exclusions below):
Reciprocal Borrowing
Montclair State University faculty, staff and graduate students can borrow library materials from participating members of VALE (Virtual Academic Library Environment), a consortium of academic libraries in New Jersey. A list of participating VALE libraries is available at the Access Services Desk and on the VALE website.
Document Delivery
Documents are copied from microfilm, microfiche, print journals, and/or chapters from a book within copyright. These materials will then be sent directly to you. Please use the request forms above, listed under “Traditional ILL”, and note your affiliation or any accessibility requirements in the comments section. For microfilm and microfiche requests, please use the article request form.
